Celebrating 1 week of no problemToday we celebrate our first week without major problems with our server, by long time ago. I just finished a nice script which is able to delete all infos about a user, and I started to run almost 2 weeks ago. We deleted about 20% of our databases which make the server running much faster than used to it. I hope you also noticed this ....
In other way from now on, a hourly cron will delete all the users and the datas owned by them, which doesn`t logged in by more than 10 weeks. Users who didn`t logged in by 8 weeks will get a `missyou` mail which is atentioning them that their account will be deleted in two weeks. There is also an other script, runned manually for now (when is running you can see the VHO is under maintenance message) and which is deleting all the datas older than 4-6 months (depending on the value of informations - ex. 2 months for live commentaries, 6 months for player skill changes, never for matches :) ).
Enjoy it, and have a happy holiday and a happy new year in case that i`m not comming with something new till then. (which probably will not happen, since I`m spending an other 2 days in the city in this year, in rest I`m on vacation, so responses to support mail probably will slow down a lot)
